Artful lodging in The South of France for Art Lovers

1) Hôtel Le Corbusier

What an experience this is: spending the night in a landmark design by the groundbreaking architect Le Corbusier, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. You can book a room in the hotel on the third floor of La Cité Radieuse (built between 1946 and 1952), which was designed by Le Corbusier. Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand furnished the interiors. It’s like travelling back in time to the 1950s. Even though the rooms have since been upgraded with all the mod cons, you cannot ignore the beauty of timeless simplicity, efficiency and charm. Check out the authentic windows, the built-in shelves and cabinets and the concrete balcony. Hotel guests have access to the entire building. The hotel has a wonderful bar and restaurant with a terrace, from which you have a view of the Mediterranean.
