5 friendly places for brunch in New York

1) Rosemary's

The rooftop garden put this place on the map but it’s the menu and the ambiance that kept it on the map. There’s a long wait sometimes, but enjoying your Italian dish straight from the produce grown on the roof is worth it. In summer French doors open onto the street.

3) Café Sabarsky

If you find yourself up in Museum Mile, this is the place to stop. Located inside the Neue Galerie you’ll experience a taste of romantic Vienna. Start with Bavarian sausage and warm pretzel or a special sandwich, but be sure to end with one of their spectacular, intricate desserts, especially if traditional apfelstrudel is something you cherish. Nighttime the cafe transforms into a cabaret with live music.

4) Upland

California cuisine is served in a high-ceiling industrial space, with room to breathe. Try the fresh little gem salad, which is so large it’s a must-share. There are substantial items like spaghetti topped with fried egg or the Larry David bagel. Creative pizzas and fabulous bottles of wine.
