5 hotels with great views in Seattle

The Edgewater Hotel was originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair and has hosted a number of famous guests over the years. The Beatles Suite is the actual location where The Beatles fished out of the window in 1964.

Of course the Four Seasons occupies a spectacular piece of real estate in Seattle. West-facing rooms will deliver the best Elliott Bay and Olympic Mountain views. Can’t quite swing a room here? Book a table at the Goldfish to pretend for the evening.

While you’re more likely to come across visiting intellectuals than business people at the Graduate, given its proximity to the University of Washington, it’s worth considering a stay here to get slightly out of the high tourist zone of the city. The views from the Mountaineer Club, their rooftop bar on the 16th floor, boasts panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains and bodies of water.

This Marriott property offers wonderful views of Elliott Bay, West Seattle and the Olympic Mountains. This is a two-for-one recommendation, though, as another nearby Marriott property, the Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Downtown/Lake Union, also has great Lake Union water views for a slightly lower price point. Both offer great access to downtown Seattle, Seattle Center & South Lake Union.

This World of Hyatt property is a stylish, pet-friendly option located on the north edge of Downtown. They have 150 rooms, suites and residences, many of which offer spectacular views of Elliott Bay and the surrounding mountains. Their rooftop bar, Nest, is worth visiting even if you aren’t staying on the property, for its spectacular views and inventive cocktails.
