5 buildings with iconic architecture in Porto

1) Casa da Música

Built on the site of a former tram station on Boavista roundabout, this building is proof that Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas reinvented the traditional concert hall. The RIBA awarded building was announced during Porto’s time as European Capital of Culture in 2001 and completed in 2005. Casa da Música’s unusual and iconic shape could be described as a diamond, polyhedron or some yet to be named shape.
