5 exciting wine bars in Vienna
1) Unger und Klein
A golden oldie. The Unger und Klein and its famous, timeless architecture (Eichinger oder Knechtl) has been in business for more than 20 years. It is still one of the best wine bars in town. The owner Michi Klein and Helmuth Unger like to chat with their regulars, so make you become one of them.
2) Pub Klemo Weinbar
There is wine of course. But they serve spirits too. Have a cold snack or enjoy the homemade pasta. Order a glass of wine or buy the whole bottle: do you need an easy wine or something rarer? They will gladly advise you. They also have a Pub Klemo Shop and a branch along the Donaukanal in summer.

3) Wein & CO Bar
Wein & Co is a very well-stocked shop as well as a bar. There are a few in town, but the one at the corner of Naschmarkt, with its famous golden Sezession dome, is the best. People love to have an after-work drink here. Stay a little longer.
4) Zum Schwarzen Kameel
No, this is not a spelling error. Kameel is written with two e’s. The black camel has graced the logo of this place since 1618. It is so beautiful. The azulejos, or ceramic tiles, will make you feel as if you have stepped into a set from 1001 Nights – but the wine and the famous Brötchen are typically Viennese. Where Bourgeoisie meets Pop.
5) Meinls Weinbar
Like Kameel, Meinl is a classic in Vienna. Meinl am Graben still is the most famous gourmet food store with a history that goes back to imperial times. The building itself is a listed monument, so do have a good look at it. Try a glass of delicious Austrian wine.
