5 places for wild walks in Brussels

1) Plateau Avijl

One of the last wild spots in Brussels, the Plateau Avijl is reached by a steep lane from Place Saint-Job. Hidden behind a cluster of workers’ cottages, this almost rural area has miraculously survived development. A network of narrow trails take you past meadows, vegetable plots and grazing horses. It could almost be 19th-century Montmartre.
