The 5 most famous Vancouverites in Vancouver
1) Seth Rogen
Prior to making it big, Seth grew up doing stand-up in the clubs around town. Now known for his acting, writing, producing, laugh and love of the weed, he often talks about his love for the city and the jelly donuts from Lee’s on Granville Island. For a while his voice could be heard making announcements on the SkyTrain and we have an octopus at the Aquarium named after him.
2) Ryan Reynolds
Graduating from Kitsilano Secondary School, Ryan has since become one of Hollywood’s leading men. He has written, directed and starred in some major blockbusters, including Deadpool, which was filmed entirely in Vancouver. This former Sexiest Man Alive goes by @vancityreynolds on Instagram and is a huge Canucks fan.

3) Michael Bublé
Before wanting to become a singer, Michael Bublé wanted to become a professional hockey player. The four-time Grammy winner found international fame with the release of his 2005 album It’s Time. Bublé currently lives in West Vancouver with his wife and kids and while he didn’t make it on the ice, he is a part owner of the Vancouver Giants junior hockey team.
4) Pamela Anderson
Known for her modelling, acting and animal activism, Pam’s big break came in 1989 at a BC Lions football game. Anderson appeared on the Jumbotron wearing a Labatt beer shirt. She was then hired by Labatt to be a spokesmodel and her career took off from there. Most notably she was a star on the hit series Baywatch and a Playboy model.
5) Bryan Adams
Starting his music career out of his mother’s basement at the age of 14, Adams has sold over 100 million records and is the best-selling Canadian rock artist of all time. Most notably was his 1984 album Reckless, which included the songs Summer of ’69, Run to You and Heaven. Adams has been nominated for 15 Grammys and countless other singer-songwriter awards.
