The 5 coolest music clubs in Prague
1) Groove Bar
One of those rare places where you can listen to deep house and techno music in Prague. The club is smallish, but always lively with a vibrant atmosphere. Throw in some nice staff, reasonably priced drinks and you can see why it is such a favourite.
2) Akropolis
Akropolis is a temple to alternative culture, including music, theatre and performance. The interior features quirky metalwork pieces, which will catch your attention as soon as you enter the foyer. Here they do not distinguish between emerging local names and foreign stars, as long as they rock. Or soul. Or hip-hop.

3) Klub 007
An underground (literally) club in one of the student accommodation blocks on top of Petřín Hill. Since 1969, they host local as well as international bands in all genres, from punk to rockabilly and from sub pop to noise.
4) Klubovna 2. Patro
After passing through a magnificent, shabby chic courtyard with late-Renaissance arcades, turn left and climb up to the second floor. Here you will find a large hall where the first Prague computer once stood. It took up the entire space and had the capacity of a pocket calculator. Since then, it made way for an improvised gallery, punk theatre and most importantly, a club hosting awesome DJ sets.
5) Roxy
Roxy is one of the biggest and longest standing music clubs in Prague. This former Art Deco movie theatre has an impressive L-Acoustics sound system for top notch sound quality. A wide range of artists have already performed here, including DJ Shadow or Mogwai.
