5 not-to-miss bookshops in Milan
1) Stamberga
Hidden in the inner courtyard of an art nouveau building in a highly creative area, this art space with exposed brick walls and a concrete floor houses books, objects, artworks, jewellery and photo- graphs: ‘Spiritus’ is the permanent exhibition of photographer Marco Beretta’s work. In Italian, the word stamberga is used to describe an inhospitable environment, but here it is obviously used ironically, because it is indeed a very pleasant place to meet and gather.
