5 restaurants for good pizza (and more) in Venice
1) Il Refolo
This restaurant gives out onto a tiny intimate square along a canal. The locals like to dine at the outdoor tables in the summer and enjoy the refolo, or gentle breeze you always feel here. In the evening, you can enjoy a romantic candle-light dinner under the stars. The menu includes pizza, meat and fish dishes.
2) Acqua Pazza
Finding a good pizza in Venice is definitely not an easy feat. Acqua Pazza serves excellent fish dishes as well as a thick and fragrant pizza with top-quality ingredients. The restaurant is located in a quiet campo with outdoor tables. While the prices are not the cheapest in town, the food here is definitely worth it.

3) Pizzeria Alla Strega
There are very few real pizzerias in Venice (if you don’t consider the take-outs that have popped up everywhere lately). This one has been holding its ground since 1979 and serves excellent calzones, pizzas with an organic crust, and delicious homemade tiramisu.
4) Novecento Jazz Club 900
This excellent pizzeria is located in the heart of Venice, on a quiet campiello. The crunchy, thin crust of their pizzas and the laidback ambience make this place so special. Wash your pizza down with a glass of beer and a side of jazz, with occasional live performances.
5) Birraria La Corte
Although the pizza at this brewery is excellent and prepared with fresh ingredients and with unexpected toppings, the first courses are equally good. The many varieties of beers on tap are also worth mentioning. The restaurant is located in Campo San Polo, one of the most beautiful in Venice, and has a large front of house and outdoor tables.
