1) Mercado da Ribeira
After having spent many years in a lethargic state, Lisbon’s largest food market, Mercado da Ribeira (built in 1892), was renovated by Time Out magazine. New food stalls and kiosks were added but also the traditional market vendors stayed. The market quickly became the city’s new food hub and the second most popular tourist attraction.
