5 bars serving small bites in Stockholm
1) Bar Agrikultur
At this cosy bar, guests can enjoy seasonal Swedish produce in a welcoming, open kitchen ambience. Their salt-brined cucumbers with smetana, honey and dill heads have become such a classic appetiser that Stockholmers now serve it at dinner parties. Book ahead or grab one of the seats at the bar for walk-ins.
2) Schmaltz Bar & Delicatessen
A spontaneous dinner, a mouthful of pickles or just an aperitif... Schmaltz has it all. This tiny and tasteful renovated bar and delicatessen serves sustainable dishes with international influences. Its Yiddish name, shmaltz, means rendered chicken fat, and refers to its location in a building that used to be a Jewish school.

3) Brännerian
Brännerian is a favourite haunt for gin lovers and the spirits they serve are produced in-house. Besides well-mixed cocktails, they also serve a few savoury snacks and grilled open sandwiches that pair perfectly with a gin & tonic.
4) Rådhusbaren
This under-the-radar-bar is one of Kungsholmen’s best-kept secrets. A reasonably priced neighbourhood hang-out with lovely staff, a homey feel, and dishes that served from the small open kitchen directly in the bar. This is a place for a more mature crowd. Don’t be surprised to find yourself sitting next to some famous cultural figures or designers while you gorge on some oysters.
5) Bar Ninja
A trendy hole-in-the-wall bar next to Nytorget, Bar Ninja serves wine from small-scale and natural producers, combining a festive atmosphere with tasty fare. On Wednesdays they sell bread from Dåndimpens bakery (also a tip but located in the more inaccessible south of town).
