The 5 most interesting happy hours in Bangkok
1) Tuba
This retro bar, full of antiques and bric-à-brac that is all for sale, does a happy hour from 5 to 8 pm where all drinks are 2 for 1, and where the glasses they put them in are big enough for you to have a hard time lifting them up.
2) Revolucion Cocktail
This is the first Bangkok branch of Revolucion, founded by Sebastien Bonnefoi, the mixology master who runs China’s Urban Bar bartending school. They have a 50% off happy hour here before 8 pm. Molecular and fire cocktails add plenty of excitement, and the Absolut vodka bottle-shaped swimming pool adds to the fun.

3) Woo Bar
The W Hotel’s snazzy Woo Bar has purple neon design lighting and super comfy leather armchairs to sprawl on, but you aren’t coming here just for the decor. Wednesday nights sees free flow sparkling wine for gents, Thursday sees 2 for 1 or freebie ladies nights, and there are plenty of other deals to be had.
4) Junker and Bar
There’s a half price discount on the well crafted cocktails from 5 to 6.30 pm as well as ladies night discounts on Saturdays at this funky bar, which sees the crowd spilling into the street each night. Part of the reason is the owner’s homemade alcohol infusions, with great drinks at a fraction of the price you’ll pay elsewhere in town.
5) Axis & Spin
Not only do you get a stunning view of the Bangkok skyline from this 38th floor bar, but you also get a 2-for-1 drink special from 5 to 8 pm. The menu features an array of aptly named ‘pre-prohibition, prohibition, and post-war’ cocktails, and it is a suave spot to watch the sun go down.
