5 top rooftop bars in Bangkok
1) Moon Bar
The panoramas here are unrivalled, 360° of nothing but endless skyscrapers and the Bangkok lights. Completely exposed to the elements, don’t even think about coming up here in bad weather. Photographers will love it too, as it’s the only sky bar that is tripod friendly and lets you set up for those great sunsets.
2) Sky Bar
Located up on top of the Lebua Hotel and State Tower, movie fans will recognise this bar as being the scene shot in the Hollywood comedy Hangover II. Yes, you can slurp down a Hangovertini here, but the main reason to come is the jaw-dropping view of the sunset over the Chao Phraya River.

3) Octave
Most of Bangkok’s rooftop bars are surrounded by skyscrapers, but Octave differentiates itself by being on top of one of the few high rises on the east side of town. The wooden deck up on the 45th floor here boasts a 360° panorama, as well as a unique look straight down the entire sky train line below.
4) Cru at Red Sky
The Red Sky Bar on the 55th floor of the Centara is nice enough, but head 3 more flights up to CRU, a champagne bar that is the highest rooftop bar in town. The views are dizzying here, and you can indulge in GH Mumm pink champagne. Every seat affords a 360° view of every landmark in Bangkok.
5) The Speakeasy Rooftop Bar
This elegant sky bar has two floors, one with more intimate tables for two along a small deck, and a more spacious rooftop area, with comfy chairs and sofas to relax in under the stars.
