The 5 best night markets in Bangkok
1) Srinakarin Train Market (Talad Rot Fai)
While retro furniture, antiques, and vintage hot rod cars are the highlight of this sprawling outdoor antique and retro market, you can buy just about anything here, from clothing and old records to sewing machines, and there are also some very cool cafes and bars to hang out in with the young hipsters.
2) Patpong Night Market
Certainly unique in that you are shopping amongst souvenir stalls surrounded by go go bars, perhaps Patpong’s fame is due more to what’s in the background. Nevertheless, for a collection of typical cheap souvenirs, from cushion covers to fisherman-pants, tourists love after-dinner strolls here. Just make sure to bargain hard and know that the watches are fake.

3) Talad Neon
While not as hip or atmospheric as the other main night markets, the location is great, right downtown in the Pratunam market zone. You can continue your shopping here with a decent collection of Thai souvenirs, get a haircut or massage, drink at a VW cocktail bar, and even play bingo.
4) Ratchada Train Market
Noted for great live music, this second version of the popular train market focuses also on retro furnishings, cars and motorcycles, and clothing. Given that this area of Ratchada Road is home to lots of university students, young folk’s clubs, and is a lower-rent neighbourhood, this market has a young and energetic vibe.
