Grand hotel bars in Nostalgic London

1) American Bar

The oldest surviving cocktail bar in the country, the American Bar has been mixing up alcoholic masterpieces since 1893. This place isn’t stuck in the past – it was recently awarded a World’s Best Bar accolade – but the sense of history here is palpable. The art deco bar is legendary and is known to have welcomed Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and countless others – check out the framed photographs at the entrance. Expect a regularly changing rosta of innovative cocktails, soundtracked by a live pianist and served in timeless surroundings.
