This small, charming cafe and bakery on Alki Avenue is a great place to get off your feet if you’ve been busy swimming or walking Alki Beach. They have plenty of tables set up out front across the road from the beach where you can enjoy one of their daily pastry specials and a seasonal drink, like a rosewater cardamom latte.

Old Stove’s Pike Place Market location offers unparalleled views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier on a clear day from their ample outdoor seating options. Service is surprisingly efficient even on a busy day, although in the height of tourist season (July-August) it may be hard to get a table. Locals flock here on weekdays for happy hour, especially the first nice days of spring.
